BI Developer

LakeFusion is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our growing data team and support the delivery of trusted, high-quality insights across the organization. As a BI Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reports that empower business teams to make data-driven decisions.In this role, you will work closely with product managers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate raw data into meaningful visualizations and actionable insights. You will ensure that our analytics solutions are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business goals.You will be responsible for maintaining data quality, optimizing queries, and ensuring the reliability of BI platforms, while continuously improving reporting processes. By enabling clear visibility into key business metrics, you will help LakeFusion drive operational efficiency and support our mission of delivering clean, governed, and business-ready data to modern enterprises.

• Rapid Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and deploy highly impactful and actionable dashboards and visualizations specifically tailored to support Master Data Management (MDM) use cases and LakeFusion product users.
• User-Centric Design: Collaborate closely with product managers, data stewards, and business users to deeply understand their analytical needs, translate complex MDM requirements into intuitive dashboard designs, and iterate based on feedback.
• Dashboards as Data Products: Treat dashboards as core data products, ensuring they are not only visually appealing but also accurate, scalable, performant, and provide clear, actionable insights for decision-making and operational efficiency within MDM.
• Data Exploration & Analysis: Dive into complex datasets within the Lakehouse environment to identify key metrics, trends, and anomalies related to data quality, matching efficacy, and stewardship workflows.
• Technical Implementation: Implement robust data models and queries to power dashboards, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and optimal performance across various BI platforms.
• Knowledge Transfer: Document developed solutions and provide clear guidance to internal teams on dashboard usage, data sources, and best practices to ensure long-term usability and maintainability.

• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Intelligence Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-impact dashboard development.
• Proven history of delivering actionable dashboards that directly informed business decisions or operational workflows, particularly within an enterprise data environment.ning, launching, and scaling highly successful enterprise data products or data platforms in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Deep understanding and practical experience with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, data quality metrics (e.g., precision, recall, completeness), data governance, and the analytical needs of data stewards.
• Expert proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and transformation.
• Strong expertise with at least one major BI tool such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker, or PowerBI.
• Demonstrated ability to design and build user-driven dashboards that are intuitive, performant, and visually communicate complex information clearly.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and effectively gather requirements from business users.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

• Direct experience developing dashboards using Databricks SQL Analytics / Databricks BI.
• Prior experience working as a contractor or consultant on short-term, high-impact projects.
• Familiarity with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) and large-scale data processing concepts.
• Experience with data quality tools, data cataloging solutions, or other enterprise data platforms.
